My personal mission statement
As a speech therapist working with multiply handicapped kids my mission each day is to be able to recognize all communication attempts by my special needs students and to positively reinforce it. Also to work cooperatively with my treatment team members even when they make me crazy.

I found it really interesting how your mission is so internalized. Most missions involve the accomplishments/developments of students but your idea to focus on your own personal goals is a novel one. Undoubtedly, The byproduct of you accomplishing your mission has a positive impact on your students.
Well said. It's good to have a different perspective (other than teacher/admin). It keeps things in perspective. I respect your mission. Students are lucky to have you work with them.
I love how you avoid all the catch phrases and say it like it is about people making you crazy.
